Cuts really well

Cuts really well, but the double sided blad gives me constant anxiety. Wish it was a bit longer for cutting round loaves but this seems to be the standard length.

Perfect Gift for Any Bread Baker

This is such a great gift for anyone who bakes their own bread. The knife itself is long, sharp, and designed with a double serrated blade, which makes slicing through crusty sourdough or soft homemade loaves smooth and clean. The acacia wood handle is lightweight and feels comfortable in the hand. But what makes this set really special is that it’s more than just a knife. It comes as a full bread toolkit, including:- The double serrated bread knife- Silicone blade guard- Replacement blades- Soft towel for cleaning- Storage pouchIt’s a stunning and complete addition to any home bread-baking station. One small tip from the manual: when cutting harder loaves, press the blade in gently first before slicing through. And don't use it in the dishwasher!

Sharp and Beautifully Made

This bread knife cuts smoothly with minimal effort, thanks to the double serrated edge. The acacia wood handle looks great and feels solid in the hand. A great addition to any kitchen!

Works similar to serrated bread knives

This knife does cut crusty breads well. I took away one star because the blade is not wider than the wood bow. This causes the knife to not fully cut through the bread without first lifting the edge of the bread up off the cutting board so you can cut completely through. I do want to emphasize that it does cut bread well. I rank it similar to other serrated bread knives. One of the best bread knives I have ever used is the Miracle Blade III bread knife. Functionality is similar between this knife and the miracle blade. The blade on this knife is very thin. Essentially, the thinness of the blade is one of the reasons it works well. With a blade, this thin, the bow design makes the most sense since a non-bow design with such a thin blade would bend when trying to cut. I hope the stainless steel blade holds up to rust and corrosion.

Lightweight, large bread bow knife

I’m still learning to use this bread knife — which I recently learned on Reddit is called a “bread bow knife.” It is tricky for me (turns out) as it is somewhat different than my usual big serrated bread knife and I have never used a knife like this. It is big and lightweight and has a long, somewhat wobbly and thin blade. You hold it in one hand, alongside where you are cutting. There does seem to be a learning curve, particularly where it comes to bread with a very hard crust, but possibly it is just me. It is nice that it comes with an extra blade as well, as one of the issues with the usual serrated bread knife is that it is difficult to have these sharpened. It is a decent quality item — it doesn’t feel heavy duty, and the wood itself is lightweight. (I don’t have another to compare it to, but it is my understanding that the blades on these are typically thin). It comes with a sort of plastic guard for the blade to protect it/ protect you — but for the life of me, I cannot get this guard back onto the blade. Both the guard and the blade are wobbly and I need to grow a third hand to make this operation work so I finally just gave up on it. It does come with a bag, but I have just resorted to keeping it in its original box on top of the refrigerator instead of having something with a blade in a bag loose in my drawer.I think it is reasonably priced for what I received and seems comparable to others on Amazon, atleast in a quick comparison.
